An opportunity has arisen to join the laboratory of Professor Prim Singh to study the role of mammalian HP1 proteins in the regulation of gene expression and genome organization in fibroblasts and embryonic stem (ES) cells. The successful candidate will have experience in tissue culture; knowledge of how to culture of ES cells would be an advantage but is not essential. It Experience in basic molecular biological techniques including molecular cloning, qRT-PCR, Western blotting and immunoprecipitation would be an advantage.
