Applications for NU School of Medicine PhD Programs for the 2026-2027 academic year is open now!

Dear Applicants,

We are excited to announce the opening of online applications for the 2026-2027 academic year to NU School of Medicine PhD programs. Don’t miss this opportunity to apply!

NU School of Medicine offers the following PhD's programs:

Deadlines for all types of grants:
Online Application Period
Submission of IELTS/TOEFL results
For international applicants
available until March 3, 2026, 2 pm (Astana time)
March 12, 2026
For the citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan
available until March 30, 2026, 2 pm (Astana time)
April 8, 2026
Deadline for full tuition fee-paying applicants:
Online Application Period
Submission of IELTS/TOEFL results
International Applicants with visa required prior to arrival
available until June 1, 2026, 2:00 P.M. (Astana time)
June 1, 2026
All other applicants (local and international)
available until July 17, 2026, 2:00 P.M. (Astana time)
July 17, 2026
Application Fee:
  • Regular application fee: 15 000 KZT
  • Late application fee: 45 000 KZT, within the last two weeks before the first approved deadline.

In order to apply follow the steps below:

1️. Register on admissions.nu.edu.kz and create your Personal Account.

2️.Complete the application form and upload all required scanned copies of documents listed in the Personal Account.

3️. Pay the application fee and finalize your submission by pressing the “PAY AND SUBMIT APPLICATION” button.

Important: The application fee is non-refundable and must be paid online through the "My Application Forms" section using a bank card authorized for online transactions. Once submitted, applications cannot be modified.

4. Upload a scanned copy/electronic certificate of your IELTS (except Online test) / TOEFL (except Home Edition) certificates in the "Upload IELTS/TOEFL results" section of your Personal Account. Institution Codes:

  • IELTS: Nazarbayev University
  • TOEFL: 6762

Further steps:

Check your email for notifications from the Admissions Office and your Personal account to learn about your application status. If you face any difficulties with registration or online application, please contact phd_admissions@nu.edu.kz referring to your IIN (for citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan) and Applicant ID while sending us your requests.

Reminder: Submit your application early to avoid increased fees and ensure your spot at Nazarbayev University!
