Nazarbayev University and BGI Genomics Sign a Memorandum of Understanding in personalized medicine and genetic technologies

Nazarbayev University (NU) and BGI Genomics CO., LTD (BGI Genomics) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish and develop cooperation in personalized medicine and genetic technologies at Nazarbayev University School of Medicine.

The MOU was signed by Ning Li, Vice President of BGI Group and Prof. Massimo Pignatelli, Vice-President for Medicine and Dean of the School of Medicine, Nazarbayev University.

NU and BGI Genomics are committed to working together on clinical and research development, educational initiatives, and integrated solutions for assessing human health.

This partnership aims to explore the application of genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, transcriptomics and novel technologies to develop innovative diagnostic, therapeutic and preventive measures.

NU and BGI Genomics agreed to organize joint scientific and educational conferences and seminars on cutting-edge technology in biomedicine to support and complement the research and development capability and infrastructure of NU Medicine.
