World Kidney Day 2024

On March 15, 2024, a conference dedicated to World Kidney Day will be held. The Nazarbayev University School of Medicine (NU School of Medicine), in collaboration with the University Medical Center Corporate Fund (UMC), will organize this conference as part of global efforts to raise awareness about kidney health and combat the spread of kidney diseases.


There is a global trend of increasing kidney diseases among the population, linked to the rising prevalence of diabetes, arterial hypertension, obesity, and cardiovascular diseases. World Kidney Day has been observed annually on the second Thursday of March since 2006, aiming to enhance awareness of the importance of kidney health for overall well-being.

Session topics
